I will add other stories to this site over time. Meanwhile, "Say Amen" is a short story that was part of my creative writing master's thesis (it's old, but I think still relevant)
Brother Roger liked his church because it was his. His church, his congregation, his sermons. When he'd worked at the plant he'd had to take orders, but here he was his own boss.
